L'Herbier

Baneberry
A slender woodland stalk with serrated leaves and tight clusters of berries. In low light the fruit seems to "watch" you - also known as the witch's eyes, an old superstition that kept inexperienced hands from touching it. When bruised, the stems bleed a bitter, thin sap that darkens with prolonged contact with the air. Stains skin and clothes.
